    I bought this book after watching the movie because I loved it so much. It ripped me open and shattered my heart into bits but I still love it. And maybe because it’s kinda my story. I remember when I was 17, I met someone older than me and we had relationship even I already knew he’s married. The book has more than the movie. It made me cry just like the movie. I’m out of words. Just finished reading it. I can’t describe what I’m feeling right now.

    This novel is beautiful. It is a timeless tale of the pains of passions. A reader feels what the main character "Elio" feels. The author writes simply but yet with complexity, with thousands of layers of meaning. I never wanted this book to end. I only wish to come a cross a gay novel as good as this one again sometime in my life.
